This latest article is regarding the long awaited and the beloved 2014 Audi RS7. We have all seen the news, read the reviews, and have been waiting patiently, for Audi USA to release a configurable model so we can all drool on our computer screens at our future dream car! Updated in the last few days, the Audi USA website now sports a "configurable-to-your-preferences" Audi RS7! We will take you through all the options and pricing, so you have an idea of what this beast can be equipped with and what you can expect to pay for a fully-equipped one of these!

Right off the bat, the 2014 Audi RS7 dials in, precisely, at $105,400. Now for many this may seem like an absurd amount to pay for a "family sedan" but considering what it comes with and the punch it packs, $105,400 is a bargain for a practical, super car! - Bluetooth (Audio Streaming, Phone Connectivity)

As soon as you click that "Build" button, you are redirected to a new screen that contains all of your customizable options. From here you can click those little plus buttons and change individual components or you can scroll and select everything in order from a wide range of options.

To start, the RS7 comes in a variety of different colours. The pricing ranges from low to high depending on the finish chosen. In the image to the left, three different options are shown each on a different end of the (pricing) spectrum. The top left features Audi's standard paint job (included in the MSRP), the top right features a mid range paint job (costing $1075) and the lowest image features the most elegant, high-end paint job (the one all of us I'm sure would opt for) costing a whopping $6000. That is the only 6k paint option as well as the only matte paint job available for the RS7!

Continuing with the exterior, we move on to selecting our wheels. There are four options to choose from. The first choice is an included, standard 20" 7 Spoke rim with a silver finish. Upgrading to the more elegant options will put you out another $1000 providing, however, a 21" 5 Spoke Blade Design available in 3 colour-tones (Silver, Titanium, Black).

  
Audi offers only two interior choices for the RS7. It offers standard, the familiar, race bucket seats in Lunar Silver Valcona leather with the elegant honey comb stitching or, for another 2k, regular perforated Valcona leather seats. We would go with the standard option as they may provide more support.

A total of 3 trim options can be chosen. Equipped standard is the "RS-Design Carbon Fiber Inlay" trim. At no extra charge ($0) aluminum trim is also available. For $1300 more, Layered Aluminum/Black Wood trim is available. Keeping with the race inspired theme, we would keep the Carbon Fiber inlays, however, for those looking for a more refined interior, the Aluminum or the Layered Aluminum/Black Wood Inlay trim would work just as well!

On top of the standard options Audi offers a few other additional options. These include:

 As we can see from this small amount of addable options, the Audi RS7 comes well packed out of the factory! Sure, the matte paint job and the blade rims are necessities, but some of us can hold off on the extras to lighten up the final price! As a rough idea, we decided to build our own Audi RS7 and add on a few extra options to see how the final price may be affected. Included in the options were:

-21" 5-Spoke Blade Rims (Titanium) [$1000]
-Matte Daytona Gray Paint Job [$6000]
-The packages listed above [$15,350]

The total price before taxes (which are bound to pack on a few more dollars) is: $127,145! If you choose to get the pricey trim, the perforated seats and the black alcantara headliner expect to pay upwards of $140,000!

  Overall, the RS7 is a stunning vehicle that comes at a premium price! This car is worthy of that price because it has all of the functionality of a standard sedan with a race car inspired heart ready to rip up a track when needed! Hopefully we can all get one of these but for now we just have to keep on dreaming and keep on "configurating"!
