Originating as Audi Four Life, a place where Audi enthusiasts could connect, we realized many of our featured posts and articles we're strictly being based around the Audi 8T series (a.k.a. the Audi A5). Due to lack of originality of the name "Audi Four Life", we decided to redesign our brand into "Projek 5", a place for all 8T and 8R owners (of vehicles in the Audi Model line-up with 5) to hear about different "5" projects occuring globally and all "5" related news.

Projek 5 is a website and community that covers all news Audi Q5 (8R) and Audi A5 (8T) related, including general Audi news!

What originated as a complete Audi news site (Audi Four Life) has evolved into something made specifically for enthusiasts and owners of the A5 and Q5 line!

The name Project 5 originates from the creators absurd passion for the Audi RS5 and Audi Q5, and the project plans he has for them in the near future! This community hopes to attract other enthusiasts and owners who have similar project ideas in mind or just love the 8T and 8R vehicles Audi offers.

ABT Tuning Audi RS5-R wins well deserved title of "Sports Car of The Year"!

At Audi Four Life, we cover everything about Audi's, including tuning news and awards given out, to the best of the best! Today's article covers the Audi RS5-R in particular and the award it was given at the 2013 Essen Motor Show Race Night.

To begin with, the Audi RS5 is an amazing car! With its drop-dead gorgeous looks, its insanely sharp styling and a beefed up 4.2L V-8 (deriven from the V-8 found in previous R8's, but refined to current 5.2L V-10 standards) that produces an outstanding 450HP, it is surely a crowd pleaser!



When ABT Tuning got a hold of it they turned an already perfect car into a car only fit for the Gods!
Bumping up the engine output to 470HP and boosting the 0-62MPH time from 4.5 seconds to 4.3 seconds is an acceptable performance increase, however, it is in the body work that truly makes the Audi RS5-R scream winner! The stunning body kit (including a new front bumper, carbon splitter, carbon side skirts, carbon diffuser and, last but most certainly not least, an aggresive carbon wing) provides the standard RS5 with an almost DTM like look that raises the question if it is street legal. Additionally, rerouted, quad exhausts (two on each side of the vehicle) lay flush with the side skirt to provide a stealthy appearence.

 The Audi RS5-R has almost every inch of the interior covered in a suede material. Custom racing seats with integrated racing harnesses provide maximum support and give the interior the same level of racing feel as the exterior. A roll cage behind the driver seats ensure the utmost safety and security for the Audi RS5-R.

The ABT tuning team was presented with the "Auto Bild Sportscar Des Jahres" award for the RS5-R being the best "Coupe Tuning" out of a total of 143 contendors! From the facts above, it is quite evident why the ABT Tuning Audi RS5-R would be presented with the award. Overall,  the team was ecstatic stating, "We are very happy about this award. It will inspire our engineers and let them add to their expertise, which is excellent to begin with. Many thanks to all who voted for us. We look forward to the next vote next year".

Every level of the RS5-R has been refined by ABT's amazing crew of engineers. The outcome is out of this world and, personally, we love what they have done to the RS5! ABT Tuning never fails to impress and surely no strings were pulled on this build!

Audi RS6 Avant ABT Sportsline Upgrade!

The 2013 Audi RS6 is an outstanding vehicle. Producing upwards of 560 HP and 516lb-ft. of torque, it is one of the best "grocery-getters" (if you will) on the market. Paired with an 8-Speed Automatic and Audi's Quattro All-Wheel Drive system, along with styling, so aggressive that it forces a neighbourhood lock down, what more could you want? Well the answer to this question is simple, and thanks to the masterminds at ABT Sportsline, known for their notoriously insane Audi modifications and parts, the next thing on your wish list is an ABT tuned Audi RS6 Avant.

ABT Sportsline took the 2013 Audi RS6 Avant and made a few minor tweaks to the legendary Twin-Turbo V-8 and added subtle exterior accents. Scrap that. They took this 500+HP beast and made it into a monster. Boosting the output from 560HP all the way up to 690HP (INSANE!) and 516lb-ft. to 695lb-ft! These numbers boast a 25% increase in overall performance!

And you thought the stock Twin-Turbo V-8 was fast to begin with (which it is, running 0-60mph in a mere 3.9 seconds), the ABT upgrade improves 0-60mph times by 0.4 seconds, pushing the estate to 60mph in 3.5 seconds.  





As for exterior adjustments, the RS6 Avant receives huge, aggressive 20"" or 22" rims that shout race car! Additionally, new carbon splitters are added to the front and the rear as well as new mirror accents.

So there you have it! When you thought it couldn't get any better, it did. The performance numbers reflect stellar performance and the visual additions make it even more drop dead gorgeous! It's amazing what modifications can do to a car, especially when its done by the best in the industry!
